    Hellbat

The Most Powerful Versions Of Batman, Ranked By Sheer Strength (1)

    Photo: DC

    First Appearance:Batman and Robin #33 (September 2014)

    Home Reality:Mainline Batman

Why He's So Strong:Many comic book fans assert that Iron Man is just Batman with armor plopped into the Marvel canon. Well, that's exactly what Hellbat is in DC - a special and tech-heavy armor designed to help Batman fight superpowered threats and to give him an extra oomph in battles that prove to be too intense for his fragile human body. One could consider this the prototype suit for what eventually was given to Terry McGinnis inBatman Beyond.

Standout Moment:Hellbat versus Darkseid is an incredible battle. While the ruler of Apokolips rips off the wings of the suit, Hellbat more than holds his own against this intergalactic warlord. If he had tested himself against Darkseid simply as Batman, let's just say he might not live to tell the tale.

    God Of All Knowledge

    First Appearance:Justice League#42 (September 2015)

    Home Reality:Mainline Batman

Why He's So Strong:Sitting in the cosmic Mobius Chair gives Batman the knowledge of the universe - past, present, and future. He's able to ask any question and receive answers. If knowledge is power, he's the most powerful entity in the DC Universe - and all it takes is for him to sit his Bat-butt down on the chair.

Standout Moment:Batman uses the chair's power to find out the real identity of the Joker. However, DC flubs up this intriguing arc later on by changing canon so much that it gets lost in the shuffle.

    Dark Claw

    Photo: DC

    First Appearance:Marvel Versus DC #3 (April 1996)

    Home Reality:Amalgam Universe

Why He's So Strong:He's Wolverine and Batman combined into a singular character - enough said. Not only is Logan Wayne AKA Dark Claw an intelligent detective and highly skilled martial artist, but he's also got adamantium claws, a healing factor, and enhanced superhuman abilities that make him a terror to deal with. He's the best at what he does, and what he does best is pure violence.

Standout Moment:His fight against Hyena (a hybrid of Joker and Sabretooth) inLegends of the Dark Claw #1 pulls no punches as the foes match each other every step of the way.

    White Lantern Batman

The Most Powerful Versions Of Batman, Ranked By Sheer Strength (4)

    Photo: DC

    First Appearance:Batman: Universe #5 (January 2020)

    Home Reality:Batman: Universe

Why He's So Strong:Much like the other power rings, the White Lantern Ring allows for its wielder to create weapons and shields, while also enabling the power of flight and invincibility. It's also believed that this ring is the most powerful of all the Lantern Rings, as it is linked to life and creation, even holding the ability to resurrect the dead. On the other hand, the ring does bind anyone who wears it to serve the Life Entity, taking away some of their agency.

Standout Moment:When the Green Lantern Corps arrive to take back the ring, White Lantern Batman holds the entire group off on his own - even if it's the ring on autopilot mode at this point. That's next-level power right there.

    Bat-Man

The Most Powerful Versions Of Batman, Ranked By Sheer Strength (5)

    Photo: DC

First Appearance:Batman and Dracula: Red Rain (February 1992)

    Home Reality:Earth-43

Why He's So Strong:Imagine if Dracula drained Batman of his blood, taking away his last shred of humanity as Bruce Wayne but turning him into a fearsome vampire. What's left is a hulking beast trained by ninjas and infused with super-strength, speed, immortality, and all the traditional vampiric abilities that make him every criminal's worst nightmare.

Standout Moment:His fight against Dracula is on another level of brutality. He impales the world's greatest bloodsucker on a sharp tree. This decisive victory comes at a cost, though - the hero is drained of the last bit of his blood during the fight, losing his last bit of humanity with it.

    'Sorcerer Kings' Batman

The Most Powerful Versions Of Batman, Ranked By Sheer Strength (6)

    Photo: DC

    First Appearance:Superman/Batman #81 (April 2011)

    Home Reality:Mainline Batman

Why He's So Strong:Brains and brawn define any Batman, but throw in the ability to dabble in magic and sorcery, and the Dark Knight unlocks a new set of skills that will make him nearly impossible to counter. Also, since magic is one of Superman's greatest weaknesses, this means that this Bat also has the Man of Steel's number if their relationship ever goes south.

Standout Moment:This version of Batman also has his own Batwing to use for transport. Here, however, the vehicle makes way for a flying, winged monster that he summons and rides around on like he's Daenerys Targaryen fromGame of Thrones.
